- In the search menu (or by pressing windows logo key)type the following command to ncpa.cpl and enter.
- And then by clicking on your connection disable it simple.
- Connect the computers with Ethernet cable.
- Now go to that computer from which you want to share data, remember you can also send files from the other pc as well.
- Then open "network and sharing center" by searching it again.
- From there go to option, Ethernet.
- Proceed by clicking on properties, properties of Internet protocol version 4.
- From there you can add any arbitrary address, let say 192.168.1.11 or any.
- And then press button tab to get Subnet mask automatically.
- Then click ok.
- Then go to the second pc in which you have to transfer the files.
- Open network and sharing center again (with the similar method described in step 3).
- Similarly click again on Ethernet and then subsequently on IPV4 properties.
- Now we will add an ip address for it too, but make sure its last two digits are different from the first one, first we used 192.168.1.11 so now we may use 192.168.1.10. Shown in next image.
- Then press tab to get Subnet mask automatically.
- Then click ok.
- Now the private network has been established between the two Pc's.
